MTV picks a winner: 'It's On With Alexa Chung'
It's been so long since I looked at MTV I had to Google the channel number (331 on DirecTV).
Long story short: Brian Stelter's June 11, 2009 New York Times article featured MTV's new half-Chinese British import daytime TV hope (above and below), taking over for the long-moribund and now defunct "TRL" as the channel's noon to 1 p.m. live daytime offering.
I watched yesterday's: pretty entertaining.
Note to MTV: lock her in because if you don't, someone else will.

Trust me, I knew it when I typed it, but I just couldn't think of any other way to put it...
And the conviction of my opinion is doubled if you read it that way :).

Oooo, the last part of that very sensible comment is SO tailor-made for ribald convolutions, but...sigh...since Joe's blog is squeaky-clean and G-rated and wholesome and brimming with leafy green vegetables and good hygiene, I can't.

Ok, then how's this...
I would rather feel a soft woman, then one who pokes at me with her bones.

"Boney is generally not a sign of health."
Why do you say that? Oh yeah, because you were conditioned to believe this. Its wrong. Unless the person is bulimic or malnourished, things you can't diagnose simply from seeing 'boney', it is actually the preferred medium of health. Want to live forever? Ya need to cut your intake to about these levels...well, and you still won't make it...but your body will be healthier when ya do kick it.
So many misconceptions that are there to make the masses feel good about their asses...I say as I'm eating my breakfast pancakes slathered in butter and syrup!

Boney is generally not a sign of health.
Besides, she would look better after eating a few more sammiches.

I think she looks like Jane Birkin. And that is a real pretty frock she's wearing.

"Stove up"? Interesting phrase...I might have to steal that some day!
As for being at the bottom? Yeah...most of the time, thats where I am! I'm the fattest guy on the wall! According to the BMI chart, I need to lose 20lb...6'3 and 220. Sadly, I meet a lot of people that think I'm thin...which shows how bad our idea of health is. Maybe I'll have time to actually get back in shape after I get my thesis done :-(

Yeah, I know whatcha mean, clifyt. The great American Butt Size does seem to have crept up in the past couple decades...
Portion control. I'm very lucky in that the past several years, food just don't do for me what it used to did. I'm just not all that interested in consuming massive quantities anymore, it makes me feel all "stove up", as my mother used to say. And I have this weird quirk -- I really like feeling good.
You, a "fat, unattractive man"? An unlikely story! Well, I mean, I can't speak to your beauty, but I seriously doubt the fat part, 'cause if you've been climbing up rocks and mountains -- which I vaguely recollect your having commented about at some point -- you can't be carrying much excess poundage or you'd still be stuck at the bottom with your wine bottles, all drunk & shouting encouragement to the flyweights.

Don't get me wrong Flooter...I'm a fat unattractive man. But it never ceases to amaze me when others throw out phrases like "Eat a sammich" when someone is 'underweight'...generally meaning a very healthy, but under average size.
The fact that most of the western world looks at average as anything to be proud of when average is actually far above the healthy range.
But if it makes people feel better about themselves, and allows them to not put down their own sammich, fine. Better to be happy than healthy!

Upsetting the ones who aren't healthy, or the ones who aren't attractive?
I'm never upset by anyone's attractiveness, but if I'm feeling poorly I'm sure as hell envious of someone else's health.

Yeah....tell that woman to stop being healthy and attractive...it is upsetting those that aren't.

Her legs are so skinny, I thought that the picture was PhotoShopped. Someone get that girl a sandwich, and fast!
