A non-motorized treadmill is truly an awful experience.

Even the flywheel models are awkward at best.

Joe, Are you familiar with the new Woodway products, the motorless Speedboard and the Desk-Mill? They are worth looking into. A factory rep tells me the Speedboard ($5500) has potential for use in a treadmill desk set up. And the Desk-Mill ($5950 for the treadmill, an optional $6000 more for the desk) is their dedicated entry into this market. The rep told me that the EcoMill would not work so well with a desk.
