Fingerless Texting Gloves

Wrote Edward C. Baig in yesterday's USA Today:

New gloves from the start-up Freehands are designed to help you text, e-mail and play games in cold weather this winter without giving in to the elements.

The tips of your thumbs and index fingers are the only digits exposed when you flip off the caps of those glove fingers. The caps fold back and adhere to the rest of the glove via Velcro.

Designer Josh Rubin, also founder of art blog Cool Hunting, says the idea came to him in 2007 when he tried answering an iPhone with his nose rather than removing his gloves.

$18 to $70.
