Duration of compulsory education around the world


It is confounding to me that Argentina went from being one of the richest countries in the world to Third World status even as its populace remained the best educated (according to the graphic above) in the world.

it's confounding?

Argentina has a huge income disparity, major corruption in both the private and public sectors, there is rampant tax evasion and people/businesses are fleeing with their capital.

it's hyperbolic to say, but if you've been following ridiculous health care reform fiasco here in the US is the kind of thing that can and will bring down the US. that's corruption.

It's a wonder indeed... If you remember a post a couple of days ago, about doctor/Inhabitant, we (yes i'm from argentina) have one of the highest rankings in the world. It is an insane country, you should vist us.
