'Is MySpace dying?' It doesn't take a BrainGenius...

In quotes in my headline up top, part of the headline over Brennon Slattery's Macworld article of yesterday, as reprinted from the Today@PC World blog at PCWorld.com.

You know how much I hate to say "I told you so" but even this TechnoDolt™ knew years ago that it was game over for Rupert Murdoch's overpriced folly.

Of course, my prognostication re: Facebook wasn't exactly spot-on, true enough: let's just file that 2007 post under "Even a blind, anosmic pig finds an acorn every now and then."

The problem with MySpace is that there is very little connecting one account to another. It is all about ME ME ME LOOK AT ME, COME TO MY HOUSE AND LOOK AT ME!!! Where as, Facebook seems to be a communal space where people get together and scream LOOK AT ME...see the difference?

Beyond that, MySpace is just so ghetto...I mean, I don't even want to go there when a link is offered...am I going to be hit with horrible customizations by someone that doesn't know sh*t about how not to make their page look ghetto? I mean, last time I was on there, the big thing was gold glitter...it looked like a 12-year-old had swallowed tinsel and sh*t it out all over the screen.

I believe my last band still has a page there, but I haven't been on it in YEARS...
