BehindTheMedspeak: Hands-Only CPR

Watch the video, save a life.

Want to double the likelihood of success?

22

Simple — while CPR is happening, have someone pick up both feet of the unconscious person,

333333

then hold them a couple feet above the ground

555

(this lets gravity move about half the individual's total circulating blood volume from the legs into the central circulation, helping the heart fill and making CPR more effective).

Red Disk Time Indicator

Zx cvsdd

It's not clear to me why I like this concept so much but it really caught my fancy.

From the website:

•••••••••••••••••••••••

The red disk can be moved to time up to 60 minutes.

As time passes, it decreases in size until no red is visible.

This 8-inch-square clock with large half-inch-high numbers is excellent for children learning to manage time, and for visually- and hearing-impaired adults.

A tone is emitted when the timer goes off.

Hang on wall or stand on base.

Uses 1 AA battery (not included).

$35.

Raised Line Writing Paper

Dgfhtyerw3421

This paper intrigues me and I'm going to get a pad to see what it's like to use.

"Heavy raised lines on 8.75" x 10.5" sheets of paper help the user feel the lines while writing."

165-sheet pad: $14.95.
