Trigonometry in a nutshell

When I think back to high school trig and recall the names of the various functions โ€” sine, cosine, secant, cotangent et al โ€” I was so intimate with, it's like remembering a journey to a foreign country that no longer exists.

Argh! Taking my math over again after 20 years, and I realized this is the crap I'll be studying in 2 weeks!

Where does this even come into play in the real world? I mean, if you are an engineer, but I have no clue why the life sciences are requiring this knowledge. ARGH!!!!
