I learned about Casein (Tempera) paint as a child watching Sabu's first picture Elephant Boy (1937) - only I saw it in the 1960s. Sabu demonstrated how to make Tempera Paint to color the elephant, faithfully following Kipling's story, "Toomai of the Elephants". http://bit.ly/uUOON and, http://bit.ly/cVT2Y0

casein paint has been around since the Egyptians. what amazes me is how in the world did they discover how to make it.
