True, not as long (9") as the freebies at 7-Eleven but these (acrylic) you can wash and reuse.

You mean the spoon part is not removable? What the hell! Why can't it be a regular long straw, fully open (not flattened at the end, as these appear to be) all along its length, that you have the option of sliding a spoon end onto? You start out spooning, then switch to straw sucking. You don't miss a drop.

I come from the school of tilt up the glass and pour the liquified drinky down the gullet, so I'm not overly familiar with the straw technology anyway. Maybe that wouldn't work.

I always HATE these sorts of things!

They never get the last few sips...if I go to a store and get a specialty drink with a spoonstraw, I demand a real one!

Trust me, I know drinks...
