A redshift not attributable to the Doppler effect
Superb graphics (above and below) on the front page of today's New York Times special section "After The Election."
Caption above the maps in the newspaper:
"In a sign of discontent with the party in power, 9 out of every 10 House districts voted more Republican than they did in 2008."
You don't need to be a weatherman (or a physicist) to know which way the wind blows.

This is because America is like the abused wife that always goes back to her horrible husband because he promises it will be better next time.
I'm for smaller gov't, I really am! BTW, please pass laws that do nothing but regulate how we go about our lives and regulate morality!
I'm for fiscal responsiblity, I really am! BTW, I think going to war with a country that never attacked us, and wasting a record surplus and the longest time of prosperity, and get a lot of people killed in an expensive way!
I'm for religious freedom, I'm sick of us 98% of the country sharing the same religion being oppressed! BTW, I would like to restrict others that practice other religions from doing so, or being fully realized citizens, because they aren't Amurkan!
The other side is just as bad, but luckily, they are incompetent enough not to be able to pull off straight faced lies the way the right has...I'm scared of Republicans, but a group of smart democrats scare more worse...
