Verbally: iPad text-to-speech — "200 words make up 80% of daily conversations in English"
Long story short: "When his aunt lost the ability to talk, Ajay Godhwani built a text-to-speech app for the iPad that makes it easy to express complex thoughts."

Great, now make it translate Cyrillic, simplified Japanese, Korean, Thai and the big one: Chinese. Display the characters and translate the words with the proper pronunciation (well, Except Chinese because it is a tonal language where context in a sentence controls pronunciation). Never the less, an amazing bit of coding!
