They arrived yesterday via FedEx courtesy of my Los Angeles correspondent,
who finally tired of hearing me whine about never having tasted them.

I love that second picture of Gray Cat behind the dates bowl so much that I emailed it to a friend while I was having a phone conversation with her, and after the predictable squee and awwww, she says to me, "What is the bowl of dates doing setting out in the middle of what looks like a driveway? It would never occur to me to go set my dates out in the middle of my driveway. That looks like something YOU would do, not a normal person."
First off - how in the world would she know if you're a normal person?
And second - hmph.
