HDMI Port Savers

Screen Shot 2011-08-31 at 10.36.16 PM

I can't speak for you but my TVs have HDMI ports that are nearly impossible to use without major contortions, moving the TV or a combination of the two.

For one thing, the TVs' ports are vertical, such that you have to bring the HDMI cables up from directly below, half the time in the wrong orientation.

Now comes this set of adapters to put paid to this nonsense.

They shouldn't be necessary but then, the same people who designed the TV hardware also signed off on software that leaves the mute button on the screen instead of having it disappear after a few seconds.

5 different adapters, one or more of which will make your life a lot easier — and put less stress on the ports, which can mysteriously go bad for no apparent reason.

Apiece, $9.95.

An adapter which will make your life a lot easier. Aaaah. Wouldn't it be great if you had a human adapter, or converter... plug in your "egotistical p*i*k" adapter, for example, and your brain receives the offensive one's demeanor as pleasant (no change in content - I guess for that you'd need the "la vie en rose" converter). Actually, I had this thought a while back and mentined it to a friend who said there already was such a thing, it's called bourbon, but I like mine better. No calories and I can drive myself home.
