Ahem,

From the days of tart tins draped with dough to French potato nests (here, http://bit.ly/qVBaS0 and, the classic, here, http://bit.ly/onTi0M ) on, we have been crafting fancy holders from the backs and sides and edges of damn near anything reasonably heatproof. Check out the local hardware store - ceramics supply / crafts shops.


If you have some shape that you really must have, but it is not heat-proof - then make a mold out of it with aluminum foil.
