bookofjoe Vision Test

There's only one of these eye charts in the world, courtesy of the grand panjandrum/majordomo of Cascadilla Press, who a year or two ago had it printed up and sent to me.

His company publishes all manner of nifty eye charts, many featured here over the years.

As Gray Cat says, echoing the bumper sticker, "If you can read this, you are too close."

Or you have 20/10 vision.

Or you're a cat.

If I were more energetic I'd have a bunch of these made up and give them away as prizes.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot: today marks my camera inflection point — I took a bunch of photos for this post using both the iPhone 4S (exemplar up top) and my trusty old Canon PowerShot SD800IS Digital Elph, which must be about five years old.

Not only were the iPhone shots much better but the Canon weighs about 20% more and is three times thicker.

Not to mention that the photos are trapped in the camera (on its SD card) and can't be manipulated/emailed/etc. without a computer, most certainly not the case with the iPhone's pictures.
