Do-it-yourself Cat Four-Poster Bed
Ki Nassauer offered an easy-to-follow, copiously illustrated tutorial on how to build your own from odds and ends in a May 21, 2009 post on her site, JUNK CAMP.
I should note that Gray Cat is sitting here in front of the computer, occasionally glancing at me as if to ask,
"And the reason you're not making one for me is...?
Nice color scheme too.

Middle of the night planning has determined Cat's bed should have a fabric "headboard" for security against "predators" and fabric, half-side panels to contain the to-be-added fluffy blanket.
Cat simply can not sleep on a bare mattress.
Also, please, the canopy and tissue paper curtains.

That cat's assistant had no choice.
I mean, just look at it. "I will have a hand-made bed and it shall be color-coordinated to my eyes."

I love it! I am not at all handy though and I'm pretty sure nothing I could ever make would look even remotely like this.

Where's the canopy? Curtains of tissue paper would be a nice touch.
