One year captured in a single photograph

From Flavorwire and PetaPixel: "Eirik Solheim of Oslo, Norway spent an entire year shooting the time-lapse photograph above. The image shows the passing of one year starting from January on the left and ending with December on the right, and comprises 3,888 photographs captured during the 365 days that were then combined using a special script that uses one vertical segment from each image. Notice how short spring and autumn are?"

What I find compelling about this picture is that it expands my sense of time from a point in a continuum to a full-blown world, potentially infinite.
