I've heard of a glass onion but this takes it to a whole new level.

Striking design, but I'm certain that not everything that can be made to resonate should become a driver. Even the Mythbusters demonstrated that the viscous liquid that we call glass will shatter if driven into Tacoma-Narrows resonance. Glass simply gives new (and, dangerous) meaning to a "blown speaker" and I seriously doubt that the frequency response curve would, without serious DSP, be even remotely within an average listener's acceptable level of distortion.
