The Love Songs of Elizabeth Barrett and Robert Browning
"The 573 love letters between 19th-century poet Elizabeth Barrett and her husband, Robert Browning, were made available online for the first time Tuesday."
Free, the way we like it.
"Though transriptions of the poets' correspondence have been published, the handwritten letters could only be seen at Wellesley College, where the collection has been kept since 1930."
"On the site, readers will be able to see the letters as they really appear — with creased paper, fading ink and quill pen cross-outs."
So even if your Valentine's Day didn't go quite the way you wished it would, lick your wounds as you rejoice in truly requited love.
Fair warning: there goes the weekend.
