"What's In My Bag?" — Mike Kelley

Kelley, one of the most influential American artists of the past quarter century, was found dead on January 31, 2012 at his home in South Pasadena, California, an apparent suicide. He was 57.

In the 2010 video up top, he discourses on the CDs, DVDs and books he and his girlfriend bought on a shopping binge.

A comparison could be made to verbs describing intercourse, but I won't go there.

It's next to impossible to think about suicide unless you experienced

contemplated it. It is very easy to do once the switch flicks.

Suicide is what happens when the pain is greater than the resources you think you have for coping with it.

Also? Suicide is contagious.
