We once stayed in a holiday cottage which had a huge corner spa bath with windows on two sides. Outside were the karri forests of south west Western Australia. They'd even put flood lights *outside*, so you could turn off the bathroom lights and watch the wildlife go by. Very romantic (or it would have been if it weren't for our 3 year old and 2 month old being in the bath at the same time).

When (more likely if) we ever built a place in the country, we're nicking that idea - the corner bath/window one, not the whole family in the bath (they're too old for that now).

Just squirrels. They make a fine mess.

I once had a Woodpecker try to nest in an eave - the knocking brought out a stapler & steel mesh.

Idyllic yes – but have you ever had a mamma coon with babies in your attic?

The first photo is just marvelous. Would that I could enjoy such privacy that a forrest could be my bath companion.
