This is great. What's being captured is not the actual string's vibrations (which are far above the frame rate of the camera), but an interference pattern between the shutter speed (~30 fps), the string and the vibrating iPhone which is resting on the guitar's soundboard. Would be interesting to see what the image looks like if the iPhone was raised from the soundboard by holding it from above (no contact with vibrating guitar)...
