Yes indeed.
I remember going to a Beach Boys concert in 1965 at the old Municipal Auditorium, one of the only places Atlanta had for pop acts (or any acts) back then, and the gang of friends I attended with almost ruined one of their slow tunes when we got the entire second row to chant "chik" every time the drummer hit the hi-hat cymbals. Great fun - we irritated Dennis Wilson!

I love it that Woody Allen said he shamelessly imitated Bob Hope's mannerisms in his early comedies. Hope was a quite accomplished hoofer, too. A great routine with James Cagney (nobody has EVER moved, or used their hands, like Cagney):

Jack Benny was a fine enough violinist to know exactly when to play sharp or flat for maximum comic effect. I love this duet with Giselle Mackenzie:

Very entertaining, all done live, sadly can't say that about much entertainment today. They all had the magic back then.
