Facebook Directory — "Browse by name"

Even as the venerable old-fashioned telephone book makes its final pass alongside the drain before plunging down into nonexistence, rising up alongside from the virtual quantum foam are directories for the new age. 

Facebook Directory, along with Tuesday's Twitter Profile Directory, represent a new way of ordering and looking at the world, one more in sync with the way we live now.
