Someone's messing with me on Amazon's Author Central

Screen Shot 2012-11-04 at 9.23.11 AM

I was happily bottom feeding there like always until last Sunday, October 28, when I woke up to see something had happened while I'd been sleeping to propel my author ranking out of the murk up onto the Olympian Heights.

I mean, look at the slope of that line!

Who's #1?!

Anyway, a week of drilling down by my Crack Research Team®™© — haven't heard much about them lately, have you? They've been on assignment, Deep Black variety — yielded no explanation for this burp in my ranking.

Thankfully, the rise to fame has been terminated and I'm slowly seeking my proper level down where the sun don't shine.

Welcome to the world of small numerators. I regularly soar above the #1,000,000 mark when one person buys a book...happens every couple of weeks.

I didn't buy a new set of gifts for you to personalize (that caused a spike in your ranking years ago), assuming that might have crossed your mind. All of the folks who would appreciate Quantations in my circle of family & friends already have copies (and, I have one copy back from a deceased relative).

But, I'll put out my suggestion: Quantations makes a great gift, boys and girls!
