Cat Transit System

For a client's private residence in San Francisco Because We Can, a design-build studio headed by husband & wife team Jeffrey McGrew and Jillian Northrup, created the Cat Transit System (CTS).

Wrote Because We Can, "The tube system travels over desks and

around three of the four walls,

allowing cats access to the top of the Secret Maker Superhero Armoire."

"There are viewing ports for engaging with humans,

and hidden access points."

Gray Cat, ensconced on her toasty cable box after viewing this setup, offered me an expression consisting of equal parts contempt and disdain, no doubt a mild expression of her disappointment with my feeble efforts around here, mostly consisting of bungee-corded Relay Foods boxes with cutouts for transit between them.

OK, OK — I hear you.

Enough already.

There's a wonderful book called The Cats' House. Obviously some people place cat comfort far above resale value.

Meh. Should be made of cardboard tubing or at least lined with carpet. Ask any cat.
