Motley Apricot Paintworks — Flautist's Etsy Store is Open for Business

After years of my beating on her to create a formal Etsy shop instead of sporadically selling her work on eBay as she's long done, the sui generis Georgia Peach commenter extraordinaire — whose sidebar remarks on bookofjoe have caused many readers to remark they come for what she has to say rather than the main event — has opened a storefront.

Motley Apricot Paintworks had its soft opening March 17 and instantly sold two items, occasioning a flurry of activity there as the elves busied themselves preparing more cool stuff for today's Grand Opening Celebration (this is that, in case you were wondering).

You want more Flautist?

Visit her shop and read the product descriptions, each with her characteristic flair and droll offhand litany of history and back story.

But don't sleep on it: once the great world sees what's available — and for a song — her stuff's gonna fly outa there.

Fair warning.

Full disclosure: A couple shelves in one of my bookcases feature various and sundry items Flautist has sent me over the years, each more quirky and whimsical and Roz Chast-meets-Andy Kaufman than the last.
