Dead Man Pen Holder

From A Must Need

How many times have you set down your pen and then gone looking for it later and not been able to find it?

Maybe after you put it on your desk it rolled off onto the floor and then underneath the desk.

Perhaps you even rolled your chair over it after it dropped, breaking it and getting ink everywhere.

Well, this pen holder will solve that problem.

Just place your pen in the holder and it will stay put.

Plus, you'll know where it is.

The playful design is sure to get a lot of smiles from coworkers, too.

Another advantage to this pen holder is that if you get frustrated, you can release some stress by stabbing it over and over with your pen.

It's a harmless way to let off a little steam.

The pen holder is seven inches long by about five and a half inches.

Add some humor and fun to your desk.

Above, a slide from the recent Book Expo America show in Gotham, which Virginia Quarterly Review Web Editor Jane Friedman attended and from which she regularly sent out live Twitter dispatches to her 180,000+ followers.

I for one found them informative and interesting.

The most profound from my perspective was the slide up top, captioned thus:

My Kindle book costs 99 cents so I'm thinking I should be rolling in dough but it ain't happening.

Real soon now, prolly.

What is it?

Answer here this time tomorrow.

Hint: smaller than a bread box.

Another: not edible.

A third: waterproof.

The End of Poverty

When I saw the cover of the latest issue of The Economist (above) my heart lifted.

Indeed, the world is steadily becoming a better place for more and more people regardless of what appears to be the opposite judging from daily headlines.

There is a disconnect....
