Grammarist.com — Heaven is a place online

Screen Shot 2013-06-09 at 7.30.47 PM

I happened on this heretofore unknown-to-me site earlier today after seeing the word "instinctual" in an ad and thinking to myself "Huh?" Is that even a word?

Screen Shot 2013-06-09 at 7.30.51 PM

Indeed it is.

And I found out a whole lot more about the difference between the "instinctive" and "instinctual" while I was there.

Along with diving down the rabbit hole to explore a whole bunch of other grammatical issues that have been vexing me since forever, like when did "preventative" suddenly become acceptable and suchlike?

Fair warning: If, like, me, you're a language maven, this site could seriously impair your getting stuff done.
