The Italian designer set up shop in Japan after completing his degree at the Politecnico in Milan.

His latest project is a series of ultra-high-end, handcrafted-in-Kyoto wooden knives.

Hand made in Kyoto as a limited edition by Japanese artist-craftsman Issei Hanaoka.

According to Ponti, "The seamless design allows for unparalleled cleanliness and easy care. The ultra-fine edge is extremely sharp and easy to sharpen."
