Auto-On/Off LED Drawer Lights




What took so long?

This ingenious little battery-powered LED strip light turns on when you open a drawer and shuts off automatically when you close it. No more scrounging around in the dark through a messy drawer looking for a flashlight in a power outage, grabbing mismatched socks in the early dawn, mistaking Krazy Glue for eye drops, or other similar scenarios. OK, I finally actually looked at it. The site you point to, and the IKEA installation manual, both show it along the front edge of the drawer - I think it would be more use along the edge, if not the back, and apparently it would work just fine (as long as the sensor was at/near the front? It is triggered by a light sensor, after all)>
