Peter Bellerby — The Globemaker (video)

"A short film about Peter Bellerby, artisan globemaker and founder of Bellerby & Co. Globemakers."

[via longtime reader Joe Peach, who lives in the slow lane and therefore often sees wonderful things — like this — that pass me by. Thanks, homie!]

Under Hood Animal Repeller

From the website:

Keep Small Animals Out From Under Your Car Hood!

Avoid hefty vehicle repair bills.

Random bursts of ultrasonic waves ensure that unwanted pests — even cats — move on and don't cause damage to cables, wiring, or more.

Weather-resistant unit attaches easily within any engine compartment with included straps.

Requires 2 C batteries.

5"L x 2.5"W.

$21.83 (as best I can deduce from the website, batteries are not included. Sheesh. For that much money you'd think they could toss a couple in).

Your wish is my demand.

Wait a sec, that's not right....

Oh never mind.

Ms. Brosh's YouTube video caption: "Kyle called me ugly. He shouldn't have done that."

Buy her upcoming book (below), she'll cheese.

*She's got a Wikipedia entry and you don't.

Lansky Blade Medic

Clarke Green's Cool Tools review follows.

Sharpening serrated blades has always been a bit of a puzzle, but the Lansky Blade Medic makes the process simple.

The tapered diamond sharpening stick will quickly sharpen nearly any size or shape serration, and the ceramic strip dresses them up.

As the video [below] shows, a couple of swipes across the back of a serrated blade will remove the burr that sharpening the serrations creates.
