From Los Alamos National Laboratory comes the news that "There are still a number of people in the U.S. who have nuclear-powered pacemakers."


I'm thinking that individuals walking around with these must have some hairy times in airports, what with radiation detectors everywhere.

A group of UVA students instantly knew I wasn't wearing a jeweler's loupe and demanded a close-up look.

Who am I to deny them?

I caught just the opening seconds on this video, toward its end: what ensued was way beyond hilarity but alas it's lost to posterity.
