Experts' Experts: Bakery Bag Clips

Screen Shot 2013-11-09 at 8.54.30 PM

Sold by King Arthur Flour where they know a thing or three about baking.

From their website:

We test bake a lot of goodies at King Arthur.

These 5-inch-long clips allow us to package them up securely for a trip home to our spoiled families.

A tight seal keeps bread, baked goods, and ingredients fresh longer.

Microwave- and dishwasher-safe.

Made in Sweden.

Seven for $7.95.

I hate emoticons (and dumb Internet abbreviations)

Screen Shot 2013-11-17 at 3.12.12 PM

Having said that, there are two (2) exceptions to my rule: OMG (my all-time fave) and IMHO.

Otherwise, you'll never see one of those on boj (except in the comments, where pretty much anything goes).

And those emoji things, and the ones that actually move?

They make me run screaming from the computer when one shows up.

Puzzle Dinner Tray

They bill this as a "Kid Puzzle Dinner Tray" but it seems to me there are plenty of grownups who'd be mighty happy to eat off this kit.

Me, for one.

A place for everything, and everything in its place.

Don't know who first said that but they were spot-on.

Flush-mounted pop-out electrical outlets

Screen Shot 2013-11-21 at 5.42.33 PM

Since it would appear we're stuck with cords and cables for the foreseeable future, how much more elegant would life be if unused sockets were pretty much invisible unless required?

From The Green Head: "If you find that traditional power outlets aren't all that interesting to look at and the temptation to stick your fingers into them is simply too great, then check out these cool new Legrand Adorne Pop-Out Outlets. When you're finished using them, simply push and they disappear back into the wall."

From $39.98.
