Peter Higgs doesn't own a TV or use email or a cellphone


The headline up top is just one of a number of interesting things in Dennis Overbye's September 15 New York Times Science essay about the winner (above) of the 2013 Nobel Prize in Physics, honored — 50 years later — for his prediction of the existence of a new particle, now known as the Higgs boson.

"The Higgs boson explained in plain English" was the title of a January 24, 2012 boj post.
