A tribute to Avogadro — just what's in a mole?

My crack Los Angeles correspondent is beside himself with delight.

I have seriously been considering having Avogadro's number tattooed on my back and asking doctors to check out the mole on my back.

Long day. Great end!

Thank you Clify, you are correct. I had it all laid out but forgot to multiply Avo's number by the 82 kg. One mole of joeheads is 8x Earth's mass, poised to take over the multiverse, or one of them at least. Your head's workin' fine, mine wasn't at 6am! :-b

Where is Moleman?

I was spot checking Marianne's work. I got something like 8x as big. The average human world wide is about 82kg * 6.022e23 = ~ 4.9e25. Mass of earth is about 5.98e24 kg.

Hmmm...either that or my head ain't workin' tonight.

LOL, Avo must be blushing by now!

All hail, Amedeo!

November 20 for International Avogadro Day!

Did you know—that one mole of boj fans equals 1.37 times the mass of the Earth?

boj fans are poised to take over the Universe!

Stick that in your hamburger.
