Between Emoji's, texting and pop music I believe we are headed back to pictograms and monosyllabic grunts.

Not at all surprising, since when I listen to my teenagers conversing with their peers, I often have difficulty understanding what they are saying. Their language is different and evolving fast. I still remember a few years ago when they laughed at me for saying "telephone" and "television".
