"My Absolute Darling"

"The word 'masterpiece' has been been cheapened by too many blurbs, but 'My Absolute Darling' absolutely is one."—Stephen King

I won't say it's the best book I've read so far this year but for sure it's in the top ten.

Way overrated.
Misogynistic and horribly while trying to come off like he has developed a strong female character.
he creates her then has her raped multiple times by the bogey of the piece, her father.
I only read it to the end because I thought the author would have one redeeming insight, after all everyone is proclaiming this book a masterpiece.
It devolved into a painfully prolonged version of Friday the 13th in which Dad just won't die and the heroine endures unsurvivable amounts of violence.
So much for suspension of disbelief.
All this book made me want to do is take a shower to wash the stink off.
