Drosselmeyer Nutcracker

Just when you thought every permutation of a nutcracker had been invented, out of Sweden comes this formidable looking piece of kit.

From the website:

First handheld nutcracker with a double lever action and a container to collect the shells.

• Minimal exertion or damage to nut — can be taken apart to clean

• Zinc with gold colored plating on handle

• Container to hold shell bits

• Lifetime warranty on lever

• Cracks all hard shell nuts

Me, I'm waiting for the iPhone XII, rumored to have a stereotactic x-ray laser that first visualizes the edible portion of the nut and then vaporizes everything else.

But I digress.

You can own the Drosselmeyer nutcracker for $49.99 (nuts included only for buyers residing in greater Atlanta).

The more I look at it, the more it seems like something you'd find on the tool belt of a Navy SEAL.

I need a cracker for the wild hickory nuts that are all over the place this year. Probably the most difficult nut I've ever encountered. You could starve trying to live on them.
