Limited-Edition Panasonic Shoe Deodorizer

From The Verge :

Panasonic announced earlier this month that it will be launching the MS-DS100 shoe deodorizer.

To use it, plug it in and place the bottom nodes into your shoes.

The MS-DS100 blasts highly charged ions into shoes, penetrating through the materials and dissolving particles to eliminate any odors.

There are two modes, Normal and Long, which take five and seven hours, respectively.

According to Panasonic, the long mode is for use "when you are especially concerned about smell or pollen."

It wouldn't be innovation if it wasn't mobile, of course, so it can be powered by a battery as well as via a power outlet.

A snazzy storage case is included.

Panasonic is only making 1,000 each month.

The device will be available in Japan on September 20th.

I wish there were a way I could collect all your comments since boj inception in 2004 and make them available to all.

They're from a universe and world unlike any I've yet to encounter.

P.S. Gray Cat seconds that emotion.

If the mad scientists in charge of such things could speed up the time it takes - WAY up, like 15 seconds - how about a gadget for dissolving smell particles under the armpits that fits around your chest from the back with one node under each pit, for mornings when you sleep through the alarm and just don't have time to shower?

So boring.
