Earth against the Milky Way

From the Daily Mail: "This image of Earth buried among the stars of the Milky Way was captured from 27 million miles away by NASA's Parker Solar Probe."

The elongated mark below the bright round spot that is Earth is a lens reflection from the WISPR (Wide-field Imager for Solar Probe).

NASA will take you deep here.

House of Z

I found this documentary about once-wunderkind fashion designer Zac Posen completely absorbing.

Bonus for boj readers: watch the first 15 minutes of the 90-minute film here free — the way we like it.

The movie's on Netflix.

Lagniappe: it's by Margaret Talbot, one of their best writers.

Subhead: "Greek and Roman statues were often painted, but assumptions about race and aesthetics have suppressed this truth. Now scholars are making a color correction."

a view of the north pediment of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, whose 13 figures were painted in 1932 by Leon V. Solon in classical Greek style, polychrome terra cotta covered with ceramic glazes.
