I'm back in kindergarten, courtesy of Google

"What's past is prologue" is not just a quote from Shakespeare.*

Up top, a paparazzi snapshot of me at outside the National Archives building on Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, D.C.

They dog me everywhere I go.

But I digress.

Yesterday I was just walking along on my treadmill while doing this and that when an email (below)

arrived from Google.

It appears I inadvertently joined the Google Chrome Help Forum Group when I noted that the genius Vertical Bookmark Separator still isn't working for me in Chrome 70, the latest update.

Back story: I discovered it when I was still using 68, and it broke when 69 appeared.

Maybe 71's the charm.

But I digressed again.

Google's email welcoming me to this group made my day when they mentioned "Rising Stars" — complete with "Rising Star badges" — people who contribute useful knowledge.

I'm hoping against hope that my contribution will elevate me into this select company so that I can be a Rising Star complete with badge.

I haven't had one of those since kindergarten.

*Act 2, Scene 1, "The Tempest"; sometimes rendered "What is past is prologue," as on the statue inscription up top
