That's something I didn't need to read over my breakfast of Cheddar Cheese Pringles.

It appeared in a brief Wall Street Journal item, which follows.

P&G's Pringles Exempt From Tax

Britain's High Court ruled that Pringles aren't a potato snack, and thus aren't subject to value-added tax.

Friday's ruling by Justice Nicholas Warren is expected to save millions of dollars for the manufacturers, Procter & Gamble Co. Justice Warren overruled a VAT Tribunal decision that Pringles should be subject to the 17.5% tax as it met the definition of "potato crisps, potato sticks, potato puffs and similar products made from the potato, or from potato flour, or from potato starch."

The judge found the Pringles were only 42% potato, and thus exempt.

Sure, you could easily make one yourself from a coat hanger — but who's got a hanger (or the energy)?

From the website:

Ever had to brake quickly only to hear your purse spill its contents all over the floor?

Just clip this car hook to your seat and start hanging everything from your groceries to your gym bag.

The single-sided opening design installs in 2 seconds and ABS plastic ensures it won't break under its load.
