I think I paid about $1,000. Here was a recent one on ebay for $5,900:

I like the metal bracelets for durability and longevity (isn't that what a G-SHOCK is all about?), besides many, such as mine, have resin applied to the inside of the bracelet to minimise temperature extremes against the skin.

Mine is pre-bluetooth.

If I buy another one, it'll have GPS rather than RF time-sync.

Casio isn't the only game in town. Seiko and Citizen also make solar / GPS watches.

I have the MGTB1000 30th Anniversary Edition. They only made 1,000 pcs globally and they tripled in price, not that I'd ever sell mine!
