Attn: Tam Donovan's daughter — this post is for you

Last week Tam commented on my May 25, 2019 MagSafe post; she wrote:

I hate to be a skeptic killjoy.

It's an interesting idea, and I almost bought it, since my daughter smashed her new Mac to the ground last year, resulting in a $600 screen repair.

But looking closer at their graphic, the guy is tripping near the outlet.

I'm not convinced it would actually work if the fall happens closer to the computer.

A tug on the cord at a point closer to the computer might still cause it to pull off the bed.

I emailed Tam back: "Excellent point."

I knew I could do better: you expect nothing but my very best.

I had my Crack Research Team©® drop everything in order to find something that will prevent Tam's daughter from an encore performance.

After pulling a collective all-nighter, they greeted me the next morning with their findings, summarized below.

From SnapNator:

Pictured up top are their solutions, which cost $29.99-$49.99.

Tam's daughter: I'm thinking one of them will work for you.

If not, let me know, and I'll send my CRT©® back down the rabbit hole to search anew.

Hi! Tam's daughter here. Felt the need to chime in. I think this is exactly what I needed and I am mad at my past self for not thinking ahead like this. I was just so excited for my burger that I tripped over that dang cord. Thank you for the link and thank you mother for the shout out <3
