180 million miles from Earth, Japanese space probe Hayabusa 2 touches down on asteroid Ryugu

Images from the Japanese space probe Hayabusa 2 shows the moment that it touched down for the second time on the asteroid Ryugu on July 11.

This footage, which is made up of still images taken at intervals of between 0.5 and 5 seconds, shows a sped-up view of the touchdown which resulted in new samples being picked up by the probe.

Upon touching down on the asteroid, the probe fired a metal bullet into it to blast up samples it could capture before lifting back up.

The spacecraft is scheduled to return to Earth with rock samples from the asteroid in 2020.

Keanu Reeves is the new face of Saint Laurent

I like it.

I've always liked Keanu Reeves even though many consider him a terrible actor.

From Fashionista:

Anthony Vaccarello has chosen Keanu Reeves as the face of Saint Laurent's Fall 2019 collection campaign.

The new imagery is shot by celebrated photographer David Sims and maintains the French luxury house's iconic black-and-white visual codes.

Features and Details:

• The 4-1/4" x 2-3/4" x 3/4" plastic button has a hole in the back so you can hang it on a wall

• Requires two AAA batteries (not included)
