Formaticum Cheese Storage Bags

Good idea.

I tried cheese storage papers from this same company a couple years ago but it was just too much trouble to wrap each piece and then fold it just so: this iteration eliminates that pain in the butt aspect.

From the Green Head:

I just bought some cheddar cheese that was aged like 10 years or something and two days later it was somehow covered in mold.

I learned that when dealing with gourmet cheeses, simply tossing the wedge into a plastic bag in the fridge isn't really ideal.

The solution is to use these specialized cheese storage bags from France, designed to simulate the environment of a cheese cave to help keep cheese fresh longer and preserve its flavor.

The bag is made from a combination of polyethylene and wax-coated paper that allows cheese to breathe and maintain optimal humidity, whereas a plastic bag or wrap just suffocates it.

15 bags: $11.99 (cheeses not included).
