Helpful Hints from joeeze: How to find "unfindable" email addresses

Screen Shot 2019-08-19 at 5.02.06 PM

From time to time I want to send a note of appreciation to an author, but no amount of digging by my Crack Research Team©® succeeds in obtaining an email address, much less a Twitter/Facebook/Instagram account.

That's when they turn things over to me.

Very seldom am I unable to find a person's email address, no matter how hard they try to keep it hidden.

One quite useful ploy in my bag of tricks is to read their biography and/or interviews for any mention of a faculty position at a college or university: invariably, putting the individual's name into the faculty search box yields both email and mailing addresses.

Try it, you'll like it.

If you fail to get the email address you're seeking using this method, let me know and I will refund every penny you paid for this advice.

Twice that, even.

Good news bad news.

Good: many websites let you leave easy peasy.

Bad: many others make it impossible to cut your ties.

Wait a sec — what's that book* I'm thinking of?

And what's that music I'm hearing?
