"The single most beautiful painting made by anyone in the last half century"

Wrote Peter Schjeldahl in his March 9, 2020 New Yorker review of Gerhard Richter's new retrospective at the Met Breuer in New York:

... from 1988, portraying his daughter Betty from behind, seems to me the single most beautiful painting made by anyone in the last half century.

Pictured above, the 40.25" x 28.5" oil on canvas is in the collection of the St. Louis Art Museum.

The black mamba is the world's fastest snake

It travels at speeds up to 12 mph.

That's a five minute mile pace.

It's also Africa's longest venomous snake, reaching up to 14 feet.
