'Scuse me while I kiss this guy โ€” Episode 2

Yesterday's post featured my mangled lyrics for "Smoke On The Water."

Today I turn my attention to "Show Me The Way," Peter Frampton's 1975 megahit.

What I heard on the radio:

I wonder how you're feeling

There's ringing in my ears

And no one to relate to

'cept the sea

look at my believin'

I'm kneeling on the floor

There has to be a force

Who do I call

When I can't see no reason

There's every time you're deaf

When someone drops the cup

And I submerge

I'm swimming in a circle

I feel I'm going down

There has to be a force

To play my part

The actual lyrics:

Actually, not that far off compared to the complete hash I made of "Smoke On The Water."

And there's this, what I heard in the "More Cowbell" song:

All our dimes have come
Near but now they're dung

Sneezes don't feel the reefer
But do they win the sun of a rain

We can be like Bayer
Come on lady
Don't feel the reefer
Buddy take mine and
Don't feel the reefer
We be apple & fly
Don't feel the reefer
Baby omni man.....etc., etc.
